Charity Bank
Folkestone Sports Centre Trust

Folkestone Sports Centre Trust exists to provide affordable sports, leisure and well-being activities for the community of Folkestone and surrounding areas. It supports those who because of medical, financial, social or mobility constraints would otherwise not be able to access such activities.

Every month 26,000 people use this community sports centre with 20 per cent from disadvantaged backgrounds. The charity runs 18 separate programmes to help the elderly, homeless, low income families and disabled people. Activities include cardiac rehabilitation, youth clubs and homeless shower care.

Charity Bank’s loan enabled the Trust to undertake the first phase of a major regeneration of the 45-year old building.
